|
The Spider Tactical Target Training System was designed with reflex, competition, and target training in mind. It was designed to be portable, and to be used either as a range, or as a multi-room combat training system. If you're interested in the Spider, please take some time to view all of our demo videos. This system is simple to set up, operate, and take down. Operation instructions can be found below. Please see the above video for a complete demo of this system. The listed price includes shipping to anywhere within Canada and the United States. If you live outside of these two countries, please contact us. We can provide some shipping options.
When you purchase this listing, you will receive:
1x Fully assembled and tested control system (Control board/Keypad/Timer) MOUNTED in an access panel
1x Stereo Cable
1x Power Supply
10x 90' USB cable extensions
10x Target boards (Shielded in 4x4" conduit boxes and shielded by Lexan polycarbonate)
1x Wireless RF Keyfob
The Programs:
1) Straight Shooter Mode - When you power up, press button#1 on the keypad once prompted to select a simulation. You'll be entered into Straight Shooter Mode. You'll then be asked to select sensitivity. If you're using low impact NERF guns, select 1 or 2. If you're using paintball or airsoft pistols or rifles, select 4 or 5. From there, you'll be asked to select how many hit points each target will have. Select 1-9, or A-D for 10 hit points. Once you've done this, you'll be told how many targets have been detected. You can then press any button on the keypad, or press "B" on the keyfob to start the game. In Straight Shooter Mode, all targets will light up green. Immediately start shooting the targets. If you've selected more than one hit point, then each time you hit a target, the green LED will blink. Once the hit points have been depleted, the green LED and red LED will flash, indicating that the target is dead. Once all targets are dead, the timer stops, and the game ends. Log your time. Here, you can replay the same settings by pressing 0-9 on the keypad, or (B) on the keyfob. Alternately, if you wish to reset settings, press #, *, or A-D on the keypad. This will reset the system.
2) Penalty Mode - Press button#2 on the keypad once prompted to select a simulation. This will enter you into Penalty mode. As discussed above, select target sensitivity and hit points. Once you start the game, the targets will light up either red or green. This is random. Hit the targets only when in the green state. If you shoot a target while in the red state, all LEDs turn off, and you'll hear a beep from the target. The target will remain inactive for a time, which is the penalty you get for hitting it in the red state. Once all targets are dead, the game is over, and you can log your time.
3) Aggressive Penalty Mode - Press button#3 on the keypad once prompted to select a simulation. This will enter you into Aggressive Penalty mode. Select sensitivity and hit points, and then start the game. Aggressive Penalty mode is the same as Penalty mode, only the green state is shorter, and the penalty (down) time when a target is hit in the red state is longer. Think Penalty mode on steroids. You really don't want to hit a target while red, as it can really set you back.
4) Sniper Mode - Press button#4 on the keypad once prompted to select a simulation. This will enter you into Sniper mode. Select sensitivity and hit points, and then start the game. In sniper mode, the first target will light up, and the other will remain in the OFF state. Once the first target is dead, the next one will light up. Once you kill the second target, the third will light up. And so on, and so on until all targets have been killed. The main board USB connector slots will be labelled 1-10. In Sniper mode, the targets will turn on in order every time.
5) Reflex Mode - Press button#5 on the keypad once prompted to select a simulation. This will enter you into Reflex mode. Select sensitivity and hit points, and then start the game. In reflex mode, one target will light up (Random every time). Once that target is killed, another random target will light up. This will continue until all targets are dead. This is one of the most competitive simulations included in the Spider. You need to be able to look and aim quickly in order to achieve a competitive time.
Setting Up:
The Targets: If you've purchased a package with the targets encased in conduit boxes with the front protected by Lexan Polycarbonate, then you're ready to start connecting each target to the control board. These targets do not need to be mounted, but you can mount them to a wall or fixture via holes in the back of the conduit boxes. If you've purchased the deluxe set, the included tripods can be used to easily fix targets to walls, and the like. If you have purchase the target boards without the casings, then you're going to need to create your own encasement which allows for you to shoot a target, all while seeing the LEDs and protecting the electronics. Each target board has a USB jack for the connector cables. Simply connect one end of the USB cable line to the target, and the other to any input USB jack on the control board. YOU DON'T NEED TO CONNECT ALL TEN TARGETS TO THE CONTROL BOARD IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO. The control board is smart, and knows how many targets are connected, and will automatically work with what is connected. You can connect to any USB jack. It doesn't matter. ALSO... We will be creating a setup video, which will be added to our demo video page.
The Control System: If you've purchased a package with the control system installed into an access panel, then you need to either mount the control box to a wall, or leave it portable (Depending on how you wish to use this system). If you haven't purchased a set with the control system installed in an access panel, then you need to safely mount the control system (Clock/Keypad/Control board) to a fixture. I suggest plexiglass over metal, but the choice is yours. You just want to protect the electronics. Stand-offs and screws will be provided if your package didn't include an access panel.
The Timer: This is talked about in the demo videos, but you can instruct the timer on the fly to count to the hundred of a second, or tenth of a second. If you select tenth of a second, the maximum simulation time is 999.9 seconds. If you select hundredth of a second, then the maximum simulation time is 99.99 seconds.
Audio: Connect the included stereo cable to the output audio jack on the control board, and the other end into the stereo input on any sound system. You can use portable audio players, computer speakers, bose players, etc.
Power up: Plug the included 9V 1A power supply into the power supply jack on the control board. Plug the power supply into the wall, and the spider will prompt you to select a simulation. From here, see above for the program information.
